The Department of Health is now consulting on a new adult safeguarding powers. Their intention for adult safeguarding is to introduce a clear legal and policy framework, in order to protect adults at risk of abuse and neglect.
The consultation has been running since from 11 July, and will run until 12 October 2012. Any individual or organisation wishing to comment should email safeguardingconsultation@dh.gsi.gov.uk.
