The course, which focuses on the Human Rights Act and how it provides a practical tool for tackling inequality and disadvantage, is ideal for anybody who works in the health care sector who wants or needs training on safeguarding adults and human rights. Having attended the course learners will be able to:
• Understand how human rights relate to equality and diversity.
• Explain the key purpose and features of the international human rights framework and the Human Rights Act.
• Understand how the Human Rights Act can be used as a practical tool to tackle inequality.
• Explain how human rights apply to the work of their organisation.
The first session will run from 9.30am until 4.30pm in Chelmsford on Monday 28th January 2013.
