Ask SAL - Keeping adults safe across Essex

08452 66 66 63

What is AskSAL?
The AskSAL helpline has been in existence since June 2009 and continues to provide advice to anybody that is concerned about the vulnerability of an adult that they know. Callers to the helpline can seek anything from straightforward information or advice about the abuse and safety of an adult in Essex, to the disclosure of a specific concern about their own safety or the safety of somebody that they know.

Callers can also report abuse through the helpline, and an investigation into that allegation will follow.

How can I help to make others aware?
It is important that all those working with vulnerable adults are aware of the helpline and are in a position to pass on contact details where necessary. Anybody can be given a supply of posters to display, as well as leaflets to hand out to those who may find the information
useful.

AskSAL can make a real difference to the lives of adults at risk of abuse, but we need the help of others to deliver the AskSAL message.

To order a free supply of leaflets and posters to help you spread the message, email wesley.jarvis@essex.gov.uk or call 01245 430085. Please don’t call the helpline number to request posters and leaflets.

Please, do your part to raise awareness of AskSAL! Visit the AskSAL website for more information.
