Need funding for a local project idea?

The Safeguarding Adults Project (SAP) is currently undertaking a comprehensive survey of adults across Essex to capture a snapshot of peoples’ feelings related to the safety of vulnerable people in our county.

The purpose of the project is to better understand where and why some people feel unsafe, and what organisations across the county can do to improve the situation.

As a result of the survey findings, ESAB will be looking to fund local initiatives from organisations across the county which aim to tackle safety issues for vulnerable people in Essex.

The Be Safer project is a great example of how partnerships can create positive outcomes for people with learning disabilities, and ESAB is hoping to emulate the success of that programme for all vulnerable groups in Essex through the SAP project.

If you have an idea for a local project, or would like to become more involved in safeguarding on a local level in Essex, you can email ESAB@essex.gov.uk or telephone 01245 430085 for more details on local safeguarding board meetings in your area.
